Why Teratai Hikmah
What Sets the Approach Apart
Small, Unhurried Groups
Sessions are kept to ten or twelve participants. There is room for questions, for pausing, and for actually absorbing what is discussed.
Malaysian Context Throughout
All materials, examples and exercises draw from local documents — EPF statements, SC-approved fund factsheets, KWSP guidelines. Nothing imported that does not apply here.
Education, Not Advice
We teach you to read, interpret and question financial documents for yourself. We do not sell products or manage funds. The learning belongs to you.
Paced for the 40s and Beyond
The programmes are paced and sequenced for people who have full lives, sometimes complicated finances, and limited tolerance for information delivered at speed.
Written Exercises That Stick
Short writing tasks between sessions help participants engage with their own numbers rather than remaining with abstractions. No lengthy homework; just a few considered minutes.
No Sales, No Upsells
You pay for the programme you enrol in. There are no follow-on products, no referral arrangements, and no pressure to continue beyond what you have agreed to.

Common Questions
Things People Often Ask
Who are these programmes meant for?
The programmes are designed for Malaysians who are in their forties or older and who would like to develop a clearer view of their financial situation. No financial background is expected or required.
Where are sessions held?
Group sessions for the Garden Walk and Factsheet Course are held at our premises in Jalan Kelang Lama, Kuala Lumpur. The Retirement Engagement programme holds its private monthly sessions at a location agreed with each participant.
How are places allocated on each programme?
Places are offered in the order enquiries are received, once we have had a short conversation to confirm that the programme is appropriate for where you are. We prefer not to fill a group before that initial exchange.
Is this financial planning or financial advice?
Neither. These are educational programmes. We do not assess your circumstances or recommend specific actions. We teach you how to read, interpret and think about financial documents and retirement concepts. Any decisions you make remain entirely your own.
What happens if I need to withdraw from a programme?
We understand that circumstances change. Our withdrawal terms are set out in writing before enrolment. Broadly, we ask for reasonable notice and we are fair about the portion of fees that have been committed to materials and preparation.
How is personal and financial information kept?
We collect only what is necessary for programme delivery. No participant's financial details are shared with other participants or with third parties. Our full privacy approach is described in our Privacy Policy.
